Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSE-Q)
JP is committed to conducting business activities in a manner that safeguards the health and safety of its customers, all its stakeholders, and employees, while protecting the environment. Our goal is to achieve consistent EHSQ excellence and this we will achieve through three broad activities:
- • Policy adherence audits,
- • Operations monitoring,
- • Continued preventive maintenance, training and innovation.
We will focus on the following:
Health Focus
- • Work life balance to reduce HSE-Q incidents tied to human error,
- • Mandatory annual medical checks to ensure all staff are fit to execute their roles,
- • Annual leave compliance.
Safety Focus
- • Safety training for all staff – at onboarding and annual refresher courses,
- • Fire drills and fire suppression training for terminal and depot teams,
- • State of art fire management system at our terminal,
- • 3rd party vehicle checks to ensure they meet terminal/depot safety standards,
- • Compliance audits.
Security Focus
- • Promote a secure working environment by establishing and maintaining appropriate security measures,
- • Protect the security of our employees, assets, contractors, visitors and installations by taking all reasonable steps to prepare for, prevent or mitigate foreseeable harm.
Environment Focus
- • Pollution (waste) management – this applies to spillage prevention during ship offloading and tank maintenance exercises,
- • Achieve ISO 14001:2004 standards in our operations,
- • Terminal upgrades and maintenance,
- • Regulation compliance coupled with intermittent audits.
Quality Focus
- • Adherence to processes and procedures at all levels,
- • Innovation management system to drive service delivery improvements,
- • Regular policy and process reviews.
